Event Overview

As Artificial Intelligence reshapes governance, education, and industry, human capital development has become the core of India’s AI strategy. The Conclave on Strengthening Human Capital for the AI Era serves as a strategic pre-summit event to the India AI Impact Summit.

This conclave brings together researchers, government officials, academia, industry leaders, and civil society to deliberate on strengthening India’s AI-ready workforce. Our goal is to embed AI literacy across governance and education ecosystems, ensuring that individuals interacting with AI understand its purpose, limitations, and risks.

The Focus

To address the rapid evolution of AI, we are focusing on two interconnected pillars:

Responsible Use of AI in Education

RAI for Education

Enhancing teaching and learning through safe, responsible, and ethical AI.

IIT Madras, in collaboration with the Central Square Foundation and Google, is co-leading a national AI literacy initiative.

Goal

To highlight how AI can be inclusive and impactful, aligning with IIT Madras's role as a UN Centre of Excellence for Digital and Emerging Technologies.

Building AI Leadership in the Public Sector

AI Education

Equipping public sector officials and educators with the skills to govern AI across its lifecycle.
