Amlan Mohanty is a tech lawyer and policy advisor based in India. Amlan helps people solve complex problems and unlock strategic opportunities. For over a decade, Amlan Mohanty’s focus has been the impact of technology on business, politics and society. Before going independent, Amlan was at Google, where he managed the public policy portfolio across privacy, content, platforms and AI in India. He has also helped the government draft key policies and worked at some of India’s best law firms. He is currently a non-resident scholar at Carnegie India and visiting professor at the National Law School of India University, where he teaches a course on tech law and policy. Amlan has a degree from the National Law School of India University.
