Sridhar is a seasoned technology and operations leader with over 30+ years of experience, specializing in establishing and managing Centres of Excellence (CoEs) in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science within academic ecosystems. At IIT Madras, he serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and AI (RBCDSAI), the Centre for Responsible AI (CeRAI), and the Wadhwani School of Data Science and AI. He is an Electronics and Communications Engineer. He has been instrumental in driving the operational and strategic growth of these centers—overseeing operations, finance, industry collaborations, revenue through research & training, fellowship programs, events and stakeholder engagement. His leadership has significantly contributed to the development and expansion of the Data Science and AI ecosystem at IIT Madras, helping position it as a global hub for cutting-edge research and innovation in responsible and interdisciplinary AI.
